Ok Opeth...

It pained me on some level to do that to be honest. He was very smart and expressed himself well... and had a serious level of musical theoretical knowledge. He was also correct in his observations of how this forums members act, post and generally butcher logic and civility. I had asked him via PM to use his assets to lead by example.... However, he unfortunately chose to let his scorn for these characteristics dominate the theme of most of his posts. On the other hand I don't feel bad because I don't think he really cared if I banned him or not.... and now he's free to find another bastion of musical ignorance and poorly executed arguments to lay siege to.

I think you made "a fair judgement". :)

Now, please, lock this thread or something...

I hope not Mike or the other guys see these unjustified comments made by the threadstarter and other
ppl I will not mention by name.

I know, it seems unfair in the sense that there are plenty of obnoxious tossers floating around here with a mere fraction of the articulacy and acuity who are part-time enough not to get the paddle. Still, if all he wants to do with his massive assets is hector people for their non-sequiturs and ill-typed internet hyperbole we aren't going to miss him much.

Deliverance was losing it big time. Ghost Reveries has its moments, but you can just hear that the sound is not Opeth. There is Roadrunner all over that damn record. Beneath The Mire? The Grand Conjuration? Can not stand those songs.

Thank you for starting my day off with such retardation. Beneath the Mire doesn't sound like Opeth? Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhkaaaayyyyyyyyyyy. Baying of the Hounds doens't sound like Opeth? It's all RoadRunners fault? OOOOHHHHHHKKKKAAAAAY.

you probobly should have read what samsara said before posting this imo...

Are you referring to Deliverance, Damnation and Ghost Reveries?
Three amazing albums. I don't Opeth has ever released a 'below par' album. Not even one that comes a bit close.
