Onder's chilli (*21.1.2014)

New pics of the two Zimbabwe Birds that start to really make me happy. A lot of leaves, little branches and shit. Sometimes they just hang their leaves down like in the post above and not even watering them helps. But it should be nothing serious I guess.

Whats going on with the weed seed?

I hammered it straight into a pre-fertilized substrate so maybe the young roots won't handle it, but I didn't have anything else on hand. This is the current progress. She's getting up from the ground.

Also, from now on it's basil and I have made a mistake somewhere . I hereby name it Kate after some dumb girl or something. It's Kate from now on. Long live Kate.

Pepper plants are looking much better now. How tall are they?

The tallest is approx. 25 cm, I will be looking for new pots this week and I intend to put those two in the last post together in a large rectangular pot (like 20x40cm) so they make a big bush george w in a chilli form. Chilli my life in growing form.

EDIT: My mother is already complaining about them taking too much space. I'm starting to get an itchy feeling that she doesn't know her place.

So today I found out about this homofestival on some of my leaves. Immediately searched chilli forums and apparently it's intumescence, also called edema. Here's a picture someone took of their plants where it's much more spread out. Here a similar problem of someone. Apparently a pretty common thing among chilli growers. Lucky there's no crippling bugs or devilish bacteria.

Also, it's hard to take pics of it, but I tried to as well.

Katie's showing off. The time difference between this and the previous picture is 8 hours. I think it's either Katy Perry or Kate Middleton.

Replanted two of the largest into slightly larger pots:

This one will need replanting soon as well.

Kate doesn't look like what I thought it would look like. That might change.

This is the two largest a week after replanting. It really helped.

Those are two of the same kind that I decided to whip in one pot so they make a compact bush that's what I'm after.

EDIT: And a picture of Kate Mara.

I'm starting to get them used to sun by putting them on the balcony for a while and then back. They start sweating and the leaves weaken but I think that they'll get used to it.

Here's the effect.

Here's how they cope with it and you can see them sweatin'.

Oh and here, well, some of the new leaves on this one are kinda deformed and I think it's the result of me pinching the flowerbuds carelessly while being intoxicated. It looks pretty bad now that I see it on picture.

zvyk3.JPG

^I've had leaves get deformed like that from insect infestations. Yours doesn't look too bad off though.

I have good eyes and I have yet to see insect anywhere on my plants. Luckily.

Today's weather fucking rules. I put them on the balcony again. There's a lot of sun but it's not that straight burning sun of fires of hell. It's that kind of mild one and they're getting used to it.

I really like the shape of the Jalapeno one so I'm thinking about not replanting it and leaving it this small. I may be sabotaging the production (especially when I have only one of this kind) but it just made this bonsai-like tree and I like it.

These are the largest. They have to get used to the outside world. I want to keep them outside on the balcony.

Katie. That one I'll just keep outside for the entire day because she can take it imho.

A picture with a mug so you can better see how big the beastes are.

How cold is it there at night? I recently put mine outside and they're doing ok. Probably a lot warmer here though. They're not as big as yours but I started them later.
