Ok I was reading the bio's of Opeth and was wondering if anyone has the songs "Requiem of lost souls" or "Mystique of the Baphomet," which happens to be the first two songs written.

Yeah, they had almost an entire different band way back when they were in Eruption. I guess the band members just left and joined other bands over time.

Mikael apparently has some lost demos lying around and can't find them, haha, but I think those 2 songs are lost forever. The furthest back you can go I think is the Twilight Is My Robe demo track and all that.

Well, Requiem of Lost Souls does infact exist on a live tape from Akalla, Sweden in 1991. There should be mp3's lying around.

Production was really all that killed Eternal Soul Torture (and Into the Frost of Winter as well). Musically, the songs were pretty much the same as other Opeth songs, especially when it is considered that most of the music from those songs was spliced into other songs.
