Opinions on the Visions.. cover art

Well, since this is a forum, I guess we need to discuss everything
concerning the new album

So what do you think of the Visions From The Spiral Generator
cover art? It's quite different from the previous albums, but do
you think it fits the music well, or should it've been made in a
different style?

(My opinion later - in a hurry)

Hmm - ok Morg if you are suggesting that we should discuss this
in that thread, I think that thread is a bit to generic. And one
can't even search for 'art' because' the term is too short

I don't think this is unnecessary because it is very relevant since
a new album was released just now - making it a hot theme

I agree Lutz. It is very abstract, and so are the lyrics, and the
music is very much so as well. My initial reaction was "Fuck this!"
when I saw the cover on the Napalm site. Because I really didn't
think that would ever fit anything made by VS (sorry, Asgeir). But
like I told Blackspirit - I'll make up my mind when I get the cover
and have listened to the music.
I love! the Cosmic Genesis cover. It is very nice, and I do miss some
of the spirit of that cover art in the new one. BUT the music has
changed as well. I like the cover art but in the end I have no
absolute opinion.. yet. But good work Asgeir

would make up your mind). What program did u use for the grid
design in the front cover?

I like the new cover, but i've only heard one song from the new album, as I don't have it yet

(I need $50 by the time my credit card bill comes, I can't buy anything!)

artwork, booklet etc. is great indeed, but i prefer "Cosmic Genesis" art... and old logo i think.

Cannot agree on the latter. I prefer the old logo over the new one. I also feel that the new font is not that easy to read, especially as small as in the booklet (do I need glasses maybe? ) But I saw that someone (sorry, cannot remember the name at the moment) in the "NP: VFTSG"- thread mistook some of the letters...so it cannot only be me *hopes*

P.S. @Ziu: abbreviation for the name of the thread exclusively used for your entertainment

Well I need glasses for the font, but that's basically because the print of the font isn't the best. And like Gaunerin I prefer the old logo over the new one.

I like the concept of the art work, fits to the songs.

My fave art work is still CG...

Very thoughtful I must say! They've brought so many things together in the artwork, biological, astronomical and math (geometrical) stuff.. things that don't seem to share much on the first view, but that are very much alike in the end. And one needs to take a closer look to find out what it might mean, I like that artwork really much!
