OT - Attn. Wrestling Fans

- Right now the rumored Wrestlemania 24 card looks like Randy Orton vs HHH vs John Cena, Finlay vs Vince McMahon, Edge vs Undertaker, Ric Flair vs Batista, MVP vs Matt Hardy, Money in the Bank, JBL vs Chris Jericho and Jeff Hardy vs Shawn Michaels.

- One thing that could stop Smackdown from moving to MyNetworkTV is HD. The station currently does not offer and apparently has no plans to anytime soon.

CHAOS AT NO WAY OUT; MAYWEATHER BLOODIES BIG SHOW

In an incident that will surely grab major mainstream press for WWE, boxer Floyd Mayweather jumped the rails at WWE's No Way Out pay-per-view to save Rey Mysterio from being chokeslammed by a returning Big Show.

Mayweather, the WBC Welterweight Campion, jumped into the ring and stood toe to toe with the much larger Big Show. The ring filled with Mayweather's entourage and WWE security officials to separate the men. When order seemed to be restored, Mayweather walked over to Big Show for a stare down. Big Show shoved Mayweather hard and Mayweather fell backwards. Big Show then got on his knees and encouraged Mayweather to take a shot at him. Big Show got his wish as Mayweather threw three lightening fast punches. At least two of the punches landed and caused damage. One to the left side of Big Show's mouth, and one punch that hit him squarely in the nose.

Mayweather and his entourage immediately scooted from the ring and back over the barracade and Big Show jumped up to pursue them. Big Show was bloodied and his nose appeared to be broken. Replays were shown but the announcers laid out and did not commentate. Shane McMahon came to ringside to walk Big Show back up the ramp to the back.

When the action returned to the ring, the announcers did not make mention (at least as of a few minutes ago) of the altercation.

Tremendous angle, and something that WWE will get tons of press over.

MAYWEATHER SET FOR WRESTLEMANIA INVOLVEMENT

Floyd Mayweather's altercation with Big Show sets the stage for the boxing champion to be involved at Wrestlemania, apparently as an in-ring contestant. Current plans call for Mayweather to be involved in a tag team match, teaming with Rey Mysterio, against Big Show and possibly Shane McMahon.

Mayweather's spokesman Leonard Ellerbe told the New York Daily News that Mayweather is looking to find ways go generate revenue outside the world of boxing. "Floyd's one of the biggest names in entertainment," Ellerbe said. "We're using boxing as a platform to expand Floyd's fan base. We want to think outside the box. He wants to generate revenue outside the sport. You can only become so big in boxing."

Dave Meltzer reports that former two time IWGP Champion Yuji Nagata was rushed to the hospital yesterday after complaining of pains in his head and no control over the left side of his body. Nagata, 39 is feared to have suffered a stroke.

- Kurt Angle lost his version of the IWGP title last night in Japan when he was defeated by Shinsuke Nakamura. Angle won the title when he defeated Brock Lesnar on an IGF show back in June of 2007.

- Marvel Toys has cancelled their only other toy line The Legendary Comic Book Heroes so there is a good chance that the TNA line could be done as well. This means we may not get anymore TNA action figures until Jakks takes over in 2010.

The 1st inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame will be the legendary "Nature Boy" Ric Flair

- There are fears in WWE about Rey Mysterio's ability to stay healthy. He had been working a reduced travel schedule as requested, and yet suffered another serious injury. Despite the torn biceps, Mysterio, 33, doesn't want to go through with the surgery right now, and prefers to work Wrestlemania this year since he missed the event last year.

- There was a belief a few weeks ago that The Big Show was returning to the Raw brand after he came in to do a new photo shoot.

- Rey Mysterio is scheduled to undergo surgery to repair his torn biceps muscle on Friday with Dr. James Andrews. If Mysterio goes through with the surgery he will be out 4-6 months and will not be able to compete at Wrestlemania. He could however still be involved in the Mayweather / Big Show feud in some capacity.

The United Wrestling Federation today announced the addition of TNA Stars Samoa Joe, The Motor City Machine Guns, James Storm, "Stone Cold" Shark Boy, and Knockout ODB to its lineup. - From Tyler Quaas: I just happened to catch TMZ tonight and they had mentioned the Mayweather/Big Show confrontation last night at No Way out. Basically it was brought up that it the whole thing was a work, but Mayweather actually broke Show's nose.
