Post samples of your playing

HI There!

Well, you can hear me playing with my band at the media section of my band's page (see banner below), or you can download some of the following:

LotR Pt. I & LotR. Pt. II
These are a little hommage to Howard Shore, who composed the score the Lord of the Rings movies. Some proggish stuff in there too, though not perfectly played, since I consider me a better songwriter than player, but see for yourselves. (mp3 128Kb, both around 3MB, server works generally good, but sometimes lags a bit)

Push this to get a sample of the first half of a song I recently started working on for our next album.
(mp3 112Kb, 3MB)

Greetings,
Kosh

Death Knight, it was only at 0:30 when it started to sound like DG, but anyway you have some chops, but don't try to rush or it will sound messy :)
thanks for the tips
I often rush a little bit on the songs, but i'll try to slow down a little bit and do better hehehe

Some shred clips I made. The first two are kinda sloppy, since I haven't had much time to practice recently. I also hadn't really played those patterns before, so I basically filmed myself (without much warmup) trying out some four-note-per-string ideas for the first time. As you can see, four notes per string is fairly new territory to me, so the left hand doesn't always keep up because of the stretches/fingerings.

The last clip is just some brief random shredding using economy picking, without distortion. This clip is a lot better than the first ones, too, since I'm more accustomed to three-note-per-string ideas. Pardon the "mood light" setting. :loco:

A friend is hosting these for me, so I don't know for how much longer they will be up.

in fact i cant record now, but i can play Dream Theater - Dance of Eternity, Symphony X - Of Sins and Shadows, Shadow Gallery - Mystery and Stiletto in Sand...and others (with keyboards). Maybe i put something here later...

Hey, Azrael.. good stuff. It's more of a traditional classical sound than a neoclassical shredder type feel, and I like that. You're one of the instructors at guitartricks.com, aren't you? You've got some really nice transcriptions on there.
