Hey, Azrael.. good stuff. It's more of a traditional classical sound than a neoclassical shredder type feel, and I like that. You're one of the instructors at guitartricks.com, aren't you? You've got some really nice transcriptions on there.

yeah - thats me. glad you like my stuff. too bad i havent had much time to do some new transcriptions lately. plus i gotta re-record some of my earlier "works" for they are not too well played and recorded.

Hey guys, everyone on this forum seems really cool and knowledgable as far as music goes (otherwise, you wouldn't really be listening to Symphony X), so I thought it'd be neat for us to share our talent with others. So, post a sample of your playing, I know there are a lot of great guitar players/keyboardists here that are probably way better than me, so let's see what you've got!

Follow this link to go to my band's music page on Soundclick, and give a listen to Transcending The Walls Of Eternity. My solo starts just a little before the two minute mark. Hell, give the song a listen and tell me what you think of anything:

Alright you bastard shredders, get posting!

NP: Adagio - From My Sleep...To Someone Else

Here's some work from our band, Cryptameria...

My personal favorite, however, is located at www.truemetal.org/cryptameria/lookingback.htm
Hope you all enjoy!

here's a demo of a song I wrote. My guitarist fucked up the beginning riff. Oh well. It's just a ROUGH demo anyways. I'm playing distorted bass. He also does a sucky guitar solo. Lol. There's a spot for a keyboard solo... but no Keyboardist (he moved away). Vlakey should do the solo.

Hey, crusher

here's something with sort of a "power metal" vibe... beware: over a minute of moody intro

and here's something a little more "prog-metal"... solos get sort of "vai" toward the end

i did all the instruments and vocals for both tracks

tomorrow, once i'm on my work PC (with high bandwidth), i'll check out your stuff

Wow! I'm blown away! You really did all the the instruments? So you are a Dream Theatre in one person... I really like the vocals and the solos are also great!

It is orange, and crap i have had that thing so long i dont have an idea where i got it? But my friend jim worked there years ago and if i remember right i think i traded in a old kramer for it. Dont even say it used to be yours!!

Small world that is so funny... You know I saw one at music go round a month ago that was identical but had a reversed head stock on it dont know if it is still there but man it was in perfect shape, but wife would not let me get it sense I just bought a Jem a while back. Road flair red, cool thanks robb never knew that and sorry about the old thread did not want to start a new one that has been done a million times over.
