i'd say yes. i like to play some CDs while gaming. I'm not going to use my cellphone to play music when i'm in my room... and it's bullshit that a cd player is outdated.

CD has overall better quality than any mp3. I still play some of my CDs - though not all, some of them are obscenely expensive and shall NEVER be played
