Recomend me some music! thread

Keenan, I admire your efforts.. but I don't think many people around here would even listen to Shogun properly before saying it's shit ;)

 Very true.

And when I said Obituary and Vader use too many blast beats.... it was actually a band named Origin.
My bad! I got confused. :(

On topic! Pink Floyd - Wish you Were Here.
One of the greatest albums ever made by anyone.

Because you guys are so much better people than us for liking it?

I've heard Shogun, it's generic, run of the mill, boiler plate, whatever you want to call it, shite. I'd rather shove forks in to my ears than listen to it's putrid noise ever again.

*breath*

^ THIS. That is all.

Uuummm..... To stay on topic!
Gonna order a Death album tomorrow! Which one is a good starting point?

My first Death album was "The Sound of Perserverance". Which is a killer album. Symbolic is I think their "classic" album because.. well.. it has Symbolic and Crystal Moutain on it.

And I don't understand the hype for Morbid Angel *shrug*

Anyways, I think I might get "Human" or "The Sound of Perserverance"...

GHOULS! ATTACK THE CHURCH, CRUSH! THE HOLY PRIEST!

YES :kickass:

It's a fucking killer album, never understood the hype for death. :erk:

Fuck the 'hype' - Chuck would've wanted you to listen to Death for one reason, the music and everything the music stands for. If you're not into that, then fair enough. I'd say you should actually listen to every single Death album before you dismiss them though, they're all different.

I think I might get "Human" or "The Sound of Perserverance"...

Honestly? If you can afford it, get both. Human is my favourite Death album, but The Sound of Perserverance is probably a good starting point if you're not already into death metal.

Though I have to say, Human was the first Death metal album I heard, and at that point I wasn't majorly into death metal..

Get Angel Witch's self titled album. it kicks tumultuous ass

Yeah, I'll second this recommendation.. You're an angel witch! YOU'RE an angel witch!!

Bought "The Sound of Perserverance", some other stuff, and "Nightfall in Middle Earth" by Blind Guardian :)
