Recommendation for all Final Fantasy fans here: The Black Mages. They do metal versions of FF songs and go heavy on the synths. Some of the songs lack cohesion and aren't as good as the original songs, but the standout tracks are amazing. Start out with "The Skies Above", a lovely composition that provides a heavy version of the FFX main theme with operatic vocals.

me? not at all, I'd be a great bassist! :headbang:

I get to play bass on my 2 person band demo :headbang: . I have never played bass before but it looks really easy. I will just look at if I was playing my guitar.

Should I use a pick or not ?

Depends on what you're playing to decide whether or not using a pick.

If you're a guitarist I'm sure it be more comfortable using a pick, but it also depends on the sound you want I guess. Try experiementing with it first.

EDIT: np: Fall of the Idols - "The Womb Of The Earth" - Atonement For The One [06:41/07:36]

Can I recommend Konkhra. THose of you who maye have fallen off the konkhra wagon during Weed out the Weak and Come Down Cold would probably still enjoy Reality Check.

There's also a new track (rough instrumental - Killswitch No. 1) on their Myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/konkhra

Um, the obviously fake drums is beyond annoying, the next song (Warmonger) the vocalist sounds like a rip off of Lord Worm, so I'll pass. (though the guitar is pretty sweet)
