Desire (Por) - FUcking fantastic band with heavy riffs very low growl vocals

Alas - Female vocals, Heavy riffs, featuring Eric Rutan (Morbid Angel, Hate Eternal)

Dreams of Sanity - Some good dark metal with TWO female vocalists, very good concept

What do people think about Last Days of Humanity? I've been thinking of picking up something by them.

Silly and not really very worth your time. I highly suggest Lymphatic Phlegm for fantastic goregrind...they bring the fuckin' riffs.

Recommend me some good dark ambient with male vocals

I dunno about vocals but here's some great dark ambient anyway!:

Lustmord (THE darkest ever...fuckin' evil)
Atrium Carceri (dark ambient/industrial)
Gruntsplatter (dark ambient/death industrial/"light noise")
Desiderii Marginis (orchestral ambient with some acoustic guitar)
Sephiroth (more evil orchestral-ish stuff)

I'm back on a black metal kick, need some stuff similar to Xasthur and Burzum. not necessarily one man stuff, but real atmospheric, slow stuff.

it's not actually "dark ambient" as such but it is dark and has ambient qualities, and not much actual "dark ambient" has vocals

I decided to check out Dead Can Dance a while ago, because people were constantly raving about them, but I could not get into their sound.

theyre so ridiculously varied that it's likely you'd find something of theirs which you'd like a lot if you got enough of it

Hmm, perhaps dark ambient isn't exactly what I'm looking for, it's synthy ambient to be more precise, something with a similar feeling to DCD's Within the Realm of a Dying Sun
Stuff that's akin to Puissance or Devil Doll would be nice too
