Are you opposed to illegal downloading? Keep in mind there is hardly a chance at all you will ever get found out...

Intresting, as I hear every day that thousands of people get sued for it.

I've been listening to metal for a couple years now and ive always been able to find new music but im having a little trouble finding some good new stuff....ive listened to everything from maiden to bathory to savatage to borknagar and lots of stuff in between and i don't know where to go next with some new music...was wondering if anyone had some suggestions as to what would be good... i much like the melodic death metal scene with bands like old in flames(pre 1999), arch enemy , dark tranquility...also into some thrash like slayer...not a fan of grindcore, metalcore or nu metal(was into that a long time ago) so if anyone can help a fellow metal brethern out would be awesome!

The Chasm - Spell of Retribution :kickass: Killer fucking album.

Good but not obvious death/doom recs please.

The Netherlands had a great death/doom scene in the early 90's, check out these.

Celestial Season - Forever Scarlet Passion
Delirium - Zzooouhh
Mourning - Greetings From Hell
Mystic Charm - Shadows of the Unknown
Spina Bifida - Ziyadah
Sempiternal Deathreign - The Spooky Gloom

But how is it in terms of ambience? I absolutely love the keyboard melodies in ITNE, and I want to know how they are in this one.
The ambience is not remotely similar whatsoever. Look for the track Empty on Youtube. There's a video for it. The song is representative of the rest of the album.

I'm looking for some depressive Black Metal.

Also some bands similar to these:

Summoning
Reverend Bizarre
Dying Fetus (early stuff, e.g Grotesque Impalement)
Bal-Sagoth
Sigh
Kampfar
Agalloch

Cheers for any help :)

Oh, and also, which Running Wild album would you recommend?

Depressive BM: Silencer, Nagelfar, Leviathan, Wigrid

Similar to Summoning: Alkonost - Alkonost
Similar to Dying Fetus: Vomit Remnants - Supreme Entity
Similar to Bal-Sagoth: Turisas - Battle Metal

Delirium - Zzooouhh

Holy fuck that looks good (and silly).

They're more similar to Moonsorrow, but the main similarity comes not in the form of actual "musical similarity" but in the fact that both bands are really pompous and pretentious sounding (in a good way).

Alright, I'll be sure to.

In the meantime, I have a recommendation to make to anyone who likes Drone.

Check out Asva, simply great drone doom.
