I've just been listening to Face Down a Swedish death metal band. for sheer fucking brutality and anger, its probably the best I;ve heard in the genre. Does anyone know any other bands like them?

John Tardy is a fucking awful vocalist.

Not really. But there are plenty of vocalists that try to sound like him and wind up sounding horrible. A good example is the second half of The Eternal Fall/Ressurection Absurd by Morgoth, where Marc Grewe's vocals are among some of the very worst dm vocals I've ever heard.
