greetings good people, i ask for some very melodic, sorrowful, atmospheric metal, preferably of the black or ambient nature. please, no power metal. thanks

I am going CD shopping Soon, and I have a semi-limited budget >75$ for CD's.
I am into mainly Thrash, and some death and black. I have most of the essintials, but not in Hard copy, anybody got recommendations?
Also, what would you all say the top 20 metal albums one should own are.

I'm too lazy to think of other genres, so I'll list some relatively easy to locate Thrash albums that are more or less essential:

Sepultura - Schizophrenia
Kreator - Coma Of Souls
Sodom - Agent Orange
Heathen - Breaking The Silence
Coroner - Punishment For Decadence
Destruction - Infernal Overkill

Some essential Metal albums overall (not precisely the 20 most essential):

Mercyful Fate - Melissa
Judas Priest - Stained Class
Iron Maiden - Killers
Black Sabbath - Master Of Reality
Manilla Road - Open The Gates
Bathory - Under The Sign Of The Black Mark
Celtic Frost - Morbid Tales
Venom - Black Metal
Morbid Angel - Blessed Are The Sick
Possessed - Seven Churches
Saint Vitus - Born Too Late
Pentagram - Relentless
King Diamond - Abigail
Burzum - Hvis Lyset Tar Oss
Darkthrone - Under A Funeral Moon
Metallica - Kill 'Em All
Overkill - Taking Over (or Feel The Fire)
Helloween - Walls Of Jericho
Kreator - Pleasure To Kill
Sodom - In The Sign Of Evil
Manowar - Hail To England

MY RECOMMENDATION TO ALL

For anyone that has been looking for old Nazgul's Eyrie releases, Black Goat (Opyros) is digging out stock that never sold. Right now you can buy:

Amon Goeth - The Worship
Behemoth - ...From The Pagan Vastlands (though there are probably few of these left)
Countess - The Return Of The Horned One
Cruachan - Tuatha Na Gael (THE ORIGINAL release, not the Karmageddon bootleg)
Tha-Norr - Wolfenzeitalter

Also, the following Nazgul's Eyrie Productions albums have always been available:

Bifrost - Pagan Reality
Bifrost - The Wildest Fire
Wizzard - Wizzard

There is also a huge update to www.TheBasar.org as well, and they brought back the 666 Pack deal.

This has been a Public Service Announcement.

Sculptured - The Spear of the Lily Is Aureoled
Tiamat - Wildhoney
Novembre - Novembrine Waltz, though all of their material is seriously worth getting.
Saturnus - Paradise Belongs To You
Empyrium - everything
Sad Legend - s/t

I also second Agalloch as much as possible, as well as Woods of Ypres and Drudkh.
