How is Ihsahn's "The Adversary"? I heard a song and was mildly impressed, but I want to know how the rest of the album is.

It's pretty good. Similar to later Emperor releases, except it has a less heavy, hollower sound.

I'd give it 7.5/10

Ah yeah, I have a Kronos album, but I'd like something a bit more melodic with some nice guitar solos like IB. Kronos is really awesome though.

Some Melodic Death Metal bands I find quite worthy to mention:
Chastisement just to let you know you can go to their site and download all their songs, you should really do this; the music is amazing.

Incapacity this bands is great, the guitarist for Incapacity is also in the band Scar Symmetry which he is the vocalist for. Quite a talented guy Christian Älvestam is I must say, he's in other bands like Torchbearer and Solar Dawn.

You should check out Beyond the Flesh from New Jersey which sadly is disbanded. The Guitarist for the band BTF, Rick Flanegan now plays for the NJ band Divinity Destroyed which are insanely unique and great band to listen to.

I think that's it but if you checked out the bands I have mentioned and you like 'em, let me know, I'll give you some more bands to check out.

I would recommend In Flames' early work to anyone who likes melodeath. Wonderfully-written and soothing.
