Altough, for someone addicted to drinking it's a huge challenge to let it go, especially if you're living that kind of rockstar life, so I understand it. And, like I've stated, I don't care about neo-classical pieces. I care about the music in general. If it's troubling you, my 2 favourite albums are Follow the Reaper and Blooddrunk. Don't make me seem like one of those neoclassicool "Something Wild is the only good thing COB ever did" people.

Do you think it doesn't affect your music if you get totally wasted 200 times a year? Plus to that, break your hands you're supposed to play guitar with and ruin your lungs you're supposed to sing with. There's a reason why professional boxers end up being not very bright people and the same thing goes to this. I'm a party beast myself 2-3 times a month but the other 27 days I keep the whiskey in the jar. And I'm still a lunatic.

If Blooddrunk is one of your favourite albums, why do you keep bashing Alexi? You are happy with their latest output, why the fuck worry then about the next one? Whine if when it comes out you don't like it, but don't go on Alexi's personal life. I'm sorry but as much as you consider you have done for the band as a fan their personal lifes are none of your business.

I like Alexi's vocals how its just like his voice but distorted. Like agressive singing. Cus it still has highs and lows but not like LOG or parkway drive singing. I like it how each album the lyrics become easier to undertsand and less mushed up growls. He should so put lyrics in the album booklet this time (and tab hehe)

The riffs on BD and WNGF are definitely more complicated than the riffs on FTR and HB. And so are the solos. They might sound not as good as the HB and FTR solos but the structure and the idea is still great. I don't know if you have ever tried to play a BD solo. Or LDB, WNGF, IYWPPFW, Trashed....I have much more problems with them as with all other solos before AYDY. So shouldn't be HB or FTR worse?

So all who say AYDY and BD are "worse" than the older ones just don't have a clue about music. As Jose said... you can say you don't like it but not it is worse.

On the rap topic : you quite all suck. First of all, the fact that Alexi listens to rap doesn't mean he'll put some into his music, that's a stupid idea. If he was a big fan of japanese music, would you say that he'll put some shamisen solos during the songs ?

All I can say is I hope Alexi and the other guys keep on doing what they are doing right now: composing awesome songs and playing kickass gigs. Thats all Im asking. Releasing coveralbum? I think its great. Imo their coversongs are very good, I enjoy listening to them and I think thats just one way for them to show they are having fun. Im not so worried about Alexis lifestyle, at least he is not cutting himself anymore. All that matters to me is that that guy keeps himself alive and wont lose his passion for the music.

That's just the thing-- there is no objectivity to this matter. It is all subjective, based on personal taste.

And Arcane, just because some new riffs are more technical or harder to play than some older riffs, this does not automatically make the new riff "better" or "good". Some of the most beautiful music ever written is very simple music indeed. Not at any level complicated in the writing. Sorry, but you need to open your mind a little more. Just because you look cool playing some superfast shit, it doesn't necessarily mean you are playing good music. Take MAB for example.
And again, it's all a matter of personal preference.

Agreed, just because someone says that something is worse than another thing doesn't mean they are stating it as fact - it's all opinion. I can say "apples are worse than oranges" or "bananas are bad" and I don't have to give an objective reason why, it's my opinion. Outright bashing is a different matter though...
