J. reminded me about this in another thread. Last year, I think we talked about making this an annual thing. If everyone is interested, I'll solicit some bands who were missed last time, some new bands that have appeared on RC's collective radar in the past year, and post the first brackets.

Actually, it should be interesting now to see how people's tastes have changed (read: become more honest) -- unless of course everyone is still playing oompa and knee-jerking their Burzum and Bathory votes all the way through to the last 2.

We should use none of the same bands used last year. It would be pretty boring to get the same results.

Agreed. Or at least take out the final 10 or something (Bathory, Burzum, Ulver, Maiden, Metallica, Dissection, etc).
