Well, I'm not ashamed to say that I think Pantera are good at the worst of times and great at the best of times.

Especially 'The Great Southern Trendkill'. The slow songs on that album are quite emotional and actually surprisingly atmospheric.

agreed, but most of it is garbage. But it's garbage I grew up on.

and I thought they were cool, because their music was used in Doom and Doom 2.

They are great musicians, but they are all drunks... Cowboys From Hell is an awesome album... Vulgar is crap aside from 'hollow', Far Beyond Driven is awesome... Trendkill is awesome too.... floods, suicide note pt 1 etc... good shit. Phils voice was nuts on that... Reinventing the steel is just lame.
