Saddest thing you ever heard?

well i used to like that pantera stuff too, the outro for Flood was good.

mine have nothing to do with music but:
Bandit0682: when did you used to live?
kondrad: vietnam
Bandit0682: oh
Bandit0682: what language do you speak there? chinese?

(notice she wrote "when")

Well, I'm not ashamed to say that I think Pantera are good at the worst of times and great at the best of times.

Especially 'The Great Southern Trendkill'. The slow songs on that album are quite emotional and actually surprisingly atmospheric.

agreed, but most of it is garbage. But it's garbage I grew up on.

and I thought they were cool, because their music was used in Doom and Doom 2.

Pantera are so damn over-rated :\

Oh and I've got a pretty funny one regarding an argument I was having with some nu-metal sped about Steve Vai

sped: "Steve Vai? The fuck is that?"
me: "he was the first to dominate the 7 strings, hes one of the most talented guitarists of our era"
sped: "bullshit... i would have heard of him at least, and you're wrong... HEAPS of people used 7 string guitars before Steve VAI.."
me: *bewildered look* "hahaha... yeh mate, yeah. who?"
sped: "Korn."

oo yeah. hello.

and my rap-infused brother:
"rap has waaay more talent. think about it! your metal bands and metallica bands and shit, they only write a few lines then repeat it, tupac and eminem have to write heaps"

and from the man who introduced me to metal:
"limp bizkit are GOOD man, you're just fucked up. You must at LEAST like 3 dollar bill right?"

pantera could play their instruments well if they weren't drunk and stoned off their asses all the time. how the hell does dimebag expect to play well at a live show when he waltzes out, downs a fifth of whiskey before he gets started?

Don't knock Dani, dude. He's fucking hardcore :headbang:

THAT is the saddest thing i have ever heard

Pantera are so damn over-rated :\

They are great musicians, but they are all drunks... Cowboys From Hell is an awesome album... Vulgar is crap aside from 'hollow', Far Beyond Driven is awesome... Trendkill is awesome too.... floods, suicide note pt 1 etc... good shit. Phils voice was nuts on that... Reinventing the steel is just lame.

my friend showed his mom (a total bitch) an opeth live video during a really complicated riff. her response?
"wow, nicholas, they're running their fingers up and down an oak board. i'm real impressed"

That´s not stupid, that´s funny :D

Did you know that there are people who enjoy Kenny G? I didn't know that until last week! I thought he was a novelty act whose CD's you only bought as a gag-gift for people you hate. Doesn't that just blow your mind?

I had a girl yesterday say "Judas Priest is gay 80's" in reference to my Judas Iscariot shirt. When I stood there and stared at her, she finally realized what it said, then proceeded to say, "oh one of those bands...I don't like you satanist guys", to which I simply told her to go get a fucking life and stared her down for a few seconds.....it ends up later that shes in the same student organization as me (Criminal Justice Student Association) and during the meeting today I got all these wierd glances from the girl and her friends.

Mizz magazine (townie mag for 9 year old girls who think they're 20) said that Rage against the machine live on MTV2 was their "miss of the week" because "all that swearing is NOT what you want your parents to hear you listening to. They'll think you're some type of grungy of something."
