It is. But a 90% match is pretty far off. Humans share something like 70% of their DNA with tomatoes, or something ridiculous like that, so matching a species has to be pretty exact.

However, it is getting the point that these things will be classified as a seperate species of big cat in the not to distant future. The Australian Wild Cat will be a techincal species of animal I'm afraid.:(

Seriously though, I"m still skeptical. "described as bigger than a German shepherd dog", for example. It's like when people say they have a huge spider or snake in their house.... And usually it's just a small animal, no bigger than normal. People love a bit of exaggeration.
