I'm sure this thread has been done before, but I'm too lazy to look it up. What are you all listening to lately? Me, I've been checking out a Scariot disc (can't remember the title)--not bad, but reminiscent of Sanctuary and especially Warrel Dane to me--and Porcupine Tree's latest, Deadwing. So far, so good, though there are a couple tunes I could just as soon skip as it stand upon about the 4th spin. But nothing bad or annoying, so that's a good sign.

Other than that, I have some old stand-bys (Pain of Salvation, Queensrÿche, Tad Morose and Rush) in the player at the moment.

Anyone else? :)

oh my dear, have i been taking a journey through metal this past week!!!

i've been listening to many, many things...alot of Blind Guardian, Luca Tirilli, and Rhapsody, that type stuff. (as well as Nightwish with Tarja's departure).

ive also been listening to much Pain Of Salvation and Nevermore.

and, Odins Court as well. awesome band.

as well as bands such as Wolfcry, Holy Dragons, Tarot, Sanctuary.

then i got my Tad Morose, Brainstorm, and Kamelot.

of course im always listening to Maiden.

man really i've been listening to it all, there isn't one focus this week, im just all over.

The newest Sieges Even. A lot. Symphorce, Godspeed, a pretty fair amount. I got sucked into an 80s throwback kick about midweek and listened to Dio Sabbath, Dio solo, Tesla, Crue, Fastway, and a few other things. That progressed into some AIC. Like No Mercy, I've been all over the place this week.

I like your new avatar. Pretty cool.

How is that new Sieges Even, I think they would be a nice pick for PP7 possibly.

Lately I've been listening to Russell Allen "Atomic Soul", Primal Fear's Seven Seals, Hellfueled and still in the player, Godspeed, 1st Chapter and DC Cooper! Still waiting on a trade from Pabla.....still haven't heard Icarus Witch, and since she's moved an no longer my roommate...I can't steal it from the room!:loco:

I like it a lot. It's pretty mellow stuff. Not like their early stuff from what I've been told. I've been looking for a few samples to see if I'd like the earlier stuff. It's described as thrash. I'm fine with thrash but I'm pickier about it than most other stuff. I think they'd be a great pick for PP7

Besides my normal heavy dose of TM:

Lefay - Symphony Of The Damned
Exodus - Shovel Headed Kill Machine
Imagika - Devils On Both Sides
Taunted - Zero
Rob Rock - Holy Hell
Uriah Heep - Demons And Wizards (Remastered)
Gary Moore - Victims Of The Future (Remastered)
Disturbed - Ten Thousand Fists
Opeth - Ghost Reveries
Nevermore - This Godless Endeavor
Tribuzy - Execution
Tony Martin - Scream

yeah, I doubt that...Sieges Even is so far from thrash...hell they are on Inside Out..IO wouldn't sign a thrash band...Kreator is the epitomy of thrash...that was soooo full of elipses...elipses rule!

This is their first disc in 7 or 8 years. They broke up and then got back together and then got the deal with Inside Out. I still haven't found any of the earlier stuff and the descriptions vary a little from person to person.

Elipses rule...? o_O

That's a shame man. I feel bad for you. :erk:

I have been on an oldschool kick, a little rock and roll as well as still pounding the Pagans Mind. Tesla, Dio and Martin era Sabbath, Son Volt and The eagles is what I have been playing lately. Anyone have the new Jon Bovi ? I heard the single "Have a Nice Day" at work. I thought it ripped. I d/l the single and am contemplating buying the CD.

...after progpower, i had been listening non-stop to dreamscape, then lek introduced me to nightwish...now 'once' is pretty much all i listen to...well...except when lek is driving my rav and i find depeche mode's new one in there...(we are seeing them next month)...

Yeah the first 2 albums are a little thrashy, kinda like Watchtower. The rest is like the new one for the most part, just not as incredible! I heard the lonely views of condors the other day and have not been able to stop listeing to it!

That's one of my favorites off the disc. The whole thing is really good. It's been in steady rotation since I got it.
