"devolved" ? Is that a word ? does anyone else see a ...'s... in my sig ? here is where it came from, this is a term that has been used to describe a type of automotive body design used from the mid/late 50's through the 60's. Nothing more. I have in the past been a bit of a gear head too.

Can you moderate life into a board? I didn't believe so and figured some attempted discussion was better than none so didn't moderate in accordance with the wishes of a few intellectuals who'd post to whinge about the quality of posts but not contribute much of substance themselves I lost interest and haven't paid attention of late, if somebody out there with an active involvement thinks they can improve the quality of the board and genuinely wants to, post up or pm me / norsemaiden. It was dying a slow death well before I stuck my hand up for the role, it seems the best thing about making someone a mod is that it makes them feel responsible enough for the board that they start good threads from time to time - didn't work for me sorry lol.

I agree that there seem to be a few around who don't really 'get' philosophy... egalitarian demands for everyone to be allowed to have a voice, everyone's 'opinion' being important, no matter how retarded and non wisdom loving they may be, strike me as a good example. However when it's a choice between crap and nothing then at least crap gives others the chance to have a shot at it and highlight errors of thought...

that makes sense if we have a large enough number of people posting frequently enough on each individual thread

when 2 people strongly disagree about something, what's been happening lately is that the thread will devolve into just being those 2 people bickering, where it's just those 2 posters posting back and forth without any one else posting for several pages

What's the problem if the others don't feel concerned and don't contribute, that's what I do sometimes, I just like reading the posts and learn from them, and maybe do some quick researches that might help me in case i wanna contribute.

Do think when people identify you as "Atheist" it is a stereotype?
Maybe you think that way, but I definitely don't, if a someone is an Atheist, what the hell you expect me to call them??
