Opeth is incredible live. I agree. They seem to really enjoy, no, love playing. That is always nice. It adds a great atmosphere to the entire show. The show they put on here in Detroit was flawless as well, which is truly the sign of a great band.
Yes, the played Demon of the Fall in Norfolk. It was after the usual break and "opeth" chants and Mike's assurance that he'd give us some hard stuff. The only one missing from their typical setlist was Bleak. I confirmed this with my girlfriend who reminded me that lots of people left before DOTF. It was a small, tame crowd compared to the 3 shoulder-to-shoulder crowds they had at Jaxx in Springfield. I could get comfortably to the second row in front of Peter and not even get pushed. Only 1 or 2 moshers in the place.
