Yes there were flamers on there but also in threads that you seemed to like because of the bands yet didnt close them...

Some people!!!! *shakes fist at random people*Pyrus said:WTF? Seriously man, double-u-tee-eff?!
Thrash is largely incapable of growing stale because it can be so simple. The only ways to completely fail at thrash are to A) be so dumb you can't even mine three simple riffs for headbanging goodness like latter-day Slayer, or B) be pussies like Voivod. Saying it got useless in the 80s smacks of ignorance and a complete unfamiliarity with the catalogs of Destruction, Overkill, Iced Earth and a couple dozen new thrash bands.
And what about the strides power metal bands are making under the radar? Check out my power metal thread.
Feh.

Oh, I totally agree. Thrash and power metal are excellent genres of metal. IMO, they're far more enjoyable and 'forward-thinking' than black metal and some death metal. I'm also one for the avant-garde and hybrid genres, so I think progressive metal, doom metal, rap metal, metalcore, and the like all have immense value as well.Pyrus said:Thrash is largely incapable of growing stale because it can be so simple. I agree, whats wrong with some good simplistic thrash you can just sit there and break your neck to ? it doesnt need to be all tech. and complex all the time.Pyrus said:WTF? Seriously man, double-u-tee-eff?!

What's up speed, where you been? And no, this place has not changed, but I don't mind it anyways.speed said:Good to see nothing has changed around here.
I have notspeed said:Out of the country for 10 weeks. I browsed the forums and quickly discovered there is nothing new on this one- same old shit.
I wish I was in Greece. I was at work with too many bills to pay. Internet was the first to go. Got back on my feet and bought a new PC. Now only if my band would pan out.speed said:Yeah I am with you, I think you and Misfit sort of hit on something, but misfit let his own ego win out in regards to his argument(which was nothing more than his opinon)- we have argued all this shit to death and we are left with the same threads and arguments.
I dunno what to say anymore, maybe its me and my own boredom with metal.
Well I am glad we are both back Aj, where were you? I was in Greece.
