What I hate is buying a cd because I have a preconceived notion that it'll be awesome and the samples sounded good, then getting it home and finding out that it's an utter pile of shit.

Well I do like it too! But I don't like the idea of how much time I could have already spent enjoying it. But you can't live in the past!

It happens. Especially when you buy a bunch of cd's at once. It's hard to absorb all that new music at once, so you take it a little at a time, which makes you prone to forget all the new music you bought. It's happened to me on a couple occasions.
