I feel like I might be the only person in the world of underground metal that finds Asphyx kind of boring. I watched part of their set but I was so bored by their riffs and songwriting that I walked away to get my 500th beer of the weekend. They're great performers but listening to their music again reminded me of why I got rid of The Rack a while back.

On album I agree with you and I don't like them as much as the rest of the UM dudes, but I really enjoyed their set. Their riffs often remind me of thrash breakdowns being played really slow, but I mostly like that.

Haha, this was the vast majority of Asphyx's set for me. When I wasn't headbanging/air guitaring, I was shouting lyrics with a couple of people behind me. So much fun.
