^ Awesome album, much better than its successor Imaginitive, even though that one is also pretty good. Looking forward to another Waterclime album, hoping for an update from Mr. V.
couldn't agree more!

NP: Waterclime // The Astral Factor // Floating

Nothing like starting your day with a cup of fresh-brewed coffee and a beautiful happy song that makes all your morning grumpiness disappear in a jiffy :D the positive energy is guaranteed for the rest of the day :D

Ayreon // Into the Electric Castle

oh boy, Arjen has made some really awesome music! i hate heavy/power metal male vocals he uses so much on all of his records but the music is sooo fckin amazing that i cannot help but listen to it again and again! i guess i don't even mind the voices so much anymore

i'm not so fond of The Gathering but i just love what Anneke did for Ayreon! Her voice on Tunnel of Light and Valley of the Queens is absolutely haunting! ♥♥♥

Done with Ov Hell – The Underworld Regime. A piece ov shit. Souless, bad produced, horrible songwriting. At least Shagrath managed to sound a little better than his work on Demon Burger.

Yeah, I dunno if you read my review, but let me say: I was disappointed. Just generally disappointing. Doesn't have even remotely the same feel that the later Gorgoroth stuff had. I miss Gaahl's vocals and I miss the raw production. Just fucking depressing.

Tarabas // Das Neue Land — Any Germans on here who want to help me out with the lyrics to this band? I need to know what I'm dealing with. I worry that I'm missing a concept or something..

I just saw it now that you mentioned it. It's more or less what I think (I think it's even worse btw).

I looked some other reviews, I liked a good share of them. I also noticed you really love Opeth.

Gorgoroth - Prayer. I wish QPAST had a better production, still the songwriting and vocals are incredible.

Ha, do I talk about Opeth a lot? Huh. :p I do love Opeth. Well, I didn't love Watershed, but I've loved all their stuff up to Watershed. Apparently I just didn't follow them to where they were going with that one.

Anima - Enter the Killzone — Wow, this is just shit.

Just check out your quotes to Opeth on the top ranked reviews ;).

I do like their 4 first ones, being MAYH their peak. SL starts great but the last tracks are really weak compared to The Moor-Godheads (and Benighted). I cannot dig BWP, excepting the lepper affinity. Deliverance/Damnation are quite good, but lacks atmosphere (maybe the uber-polished sound killed it). GR was their very first wrong step I think. The keyboard was never necessary and adds nothing decent/useful IMO. Watershed is really horrendous, specially Burden, Hex Omega and the 2nd half of Lotus Eater. Porcelain Heart is totally safe and useless. I miss Lopez jazzy drumming (as I miss a little to Asgeir on Borknagar). Hessian Peel seems to be the most decent track. Heir Apparent is ok.

Burzum - Belus. Better than I expected...in fact, it's really good.

Just by looking at the cover I won't bother  .

Dark Tranquillity:

Lethe

Give me the drink of the fluid
That disintegrates
And lend me the sweet balm and blessing
Of forgetfulness, empty and strong
Lethe
Oh, lethe

Hold me near, unravel the stars
As I speed through the heavens
Speed through the night
For you are my blade and my rope
You are my lethe
You are my all

In currents of cobalt
You storm through my heart
To sever, to puncture
The memories that burn
Let sweep through the arteries
In sharp stabs of pain
Your talon-like fingers to kill me again

Steal me, invade me and charge me again
For I burn and I shudder
Burn with each movement of

So, cleansed through a floodlight
I appear, renewed and reforged
Caressed by the sweet balm and blessing
Of forgetfulness, empty and strong
Lethe

Hold me near, my one friend and guide
As I drown through your fingers
Drown through your love
For you are the life I hate
You are my

Drag me down, in passionate sighs
With the ocean above me
And flames in my eyes
And grant me a life I can live
Without
Take me away

From the life that I hate

Do I simply adore, relish on and feel ecstasies el when listening to this song? Why, yes.

Unbelievable how much emotion they put into that song, especially the vocals at the end. I just wish it didn't fade out so fast!

couldn't agree more about Watershed and Lopez' jazzy drumming. I caught myself dancing rumba a couple of times during some songs on Damnation
Burden is awful, Mikael's voice sounds so gay
For the rest: totally disagree! BWP & GR are my 2 most favs Opeth albums :headbang: it's unhealthy how often i've listened to Ghost of Perdition ♥

Well I disagree with the fading, but the vocals! Oh my, the vocals just really get to you. In general, one of the best songs ever composed IMO :headbang: .

Did you see the P.M.?

Type O Negative: Christian Woman

Here comes the traditional sentence 'I haven't heard this in ages!' :p .

I really love GR too. I don't know why, exactly, but at some point it grew on me and just never went away. It was like.. I really hated it when it came out. I just couldn't get into it at all, and then suddenly I saw those songs live a few times and listened to it in the car and suddenly... :worship:
