Some recent polls show Hillary beating Cruz and trump, but kasich winning. This keeps up and if trump doesn't break 50% we'll see kasich there. Trump could run third party but then house of reps would go kasich if nobody goes over 50%

We just started on tuesday but Part I Chapters 6, 11 and 13. Basically why Hobbes thinks government is necessary (the anti-Dak) and why people are generally terrible.

I thought I had stated more than once recently I am essentially coming around on Hobbes.

Kasich has no chance, the man is clinging to false hope after his Ohio victory. He would need to win 116% of the remaining delegates to do so. Which is, needless to say, mathemtically impossible. Not to mention he's a soulless establishment stooge. Then again, a Kasich presidency would still be less violently retarded than a Trump, Sanders, Cruz, or Beelzebub presidency.

All delegates are required to vote for their candidate on the first ballot. If no one breaks 50% (IE a very possible trump 47-49%) those delegates are free to change their votes for the second round of voting in order to get a candidate above 50%. Though going against the popular vote they could even rally to kasich if they think he the best shot in the general election. He's got way fewer negatives than the rest of them and wouldn't rally the Sanders supporters to go out and vote for Hillary in the general election, if only to shut down Cruz/Trump who draw a lot more ire from the left. They might just stay home given the choice between Hillary and the not so offensive kasich...

That would be a brokered convention, which, while still plausible, may not happen given Trump's absurdly strong lead over everyone including Cruz. And that would be Kasich's best shot given the party line despises Cruz and Trump. Although, that in and of itself may be a false hope seeing as the GOP lately seems to be gunning for a world record for choosing the most poster children for Down's syndrome possible for their candidacy (Romney, McCain, etc.). And believe it or not, I think the GOP still feels they can control Trump, and I think they've noticed the love for the outrage he causes, so they may just take him. Especially over Cruz whom they know is consciously independent enough from the party line, that they know he'd be beyond their control. But as usual they wouldn't take into account that Trump is literally the only candidate with a higher disapproval rating than Beelzebub herself.
