I will once again recommend the
Early Day Miners album "Offshore" here, beautiful, moody, atmospheric stuff, repetitive sometimes, but in an oh so pleasant way.
Check out the song "Sans Revival" from "Offshore" on their MySpace:

Another band you need to check out is
Green Carnation from Norway.

Great progressive rock/metal, they're not total virtuosos, but they manage to hit the right chord and the right beat at the right time, really excellent, rewarding stuff. Their albums are all really different, so don't judge them by one song.
- "Journey to the End of the Night" (first album, pretty obscure doom/death stuff)
- "Light of Day, Day of Darkness" (consists of 1 song, lasting 1 hour, great progressive epic stuff, considered by many as their masterpiece)
- "A Blessing in Disguise" (more 'traditional', 9 songs, but great great great, my personal favourite)
- "The Quiet Offspring" (pretty much comparable to Blessing.. but a bit less good, still very much worth getting!)
- "The Acoustic Verses" (as the title says, a fully acoustic album, a bit like Opeth did with Damnation, beautiful album. They performed the entire album live on their recent "A Night Under the Dam" DVD)
