I figure what the heck, why not open this up to what the fans want to read about? So here's how it goes, if there's someone (or an entire band) out there you'd love for us to talk to, or if there's someone out there you'd like to read our particular take on, let us know. Post that stuff here!

We'll of course see what we can do, since a successful interview obviously "takes 2 to tango," but we can surely try!

As far as interviews that are coming, future updates will feature interviews with:
Nergal, from Behemoth
Shawn & Alex, from Beyond The Embrace
Mikael, from Dark Tranquillity
Patrik, from Thyrfing
The vikings from Ensiferum
Jens, from Edguy
Steve, from Power Quest
All That Remains
Threshold
Shadows Fall
Russell, Michael L, & Michael R, from Symphony X
Einherjer
...and a whole bunch more. Enjoy.

And what better idea that asking us to review a CD you're dying to know about? Once again, no promises, but considering the musical preference-diversity of our writers (not to mention the size of some of our CD collections), there's a decent chance we might be able to accomodate. So...get to asking?

Greetings & Salutations future metal stars.

If you've been to the 'zine yet, you'll notice we have an entire section devoted to publicizing bands who are trying to make a go of it in this competitive metal world.

If you've NOT been to the 'zine yet, go click the banner up there already! I'll wait.

Ok, if you're interested in getting your name out there to an international audience, please contact either markgugs or JayKeeley through the website about potentially having one of our metalheads write a review of your demo or self-released album/EP.

Thanks, and good luck!

Well...

We're not actually accepting submissions for reviews from non-staffers yet, even though Ultima has the world's greatest avatar.

But we'll try to get someone on that one as quickly as we can.

It's great to see an initiative like this out there & thanks for reviewing our Demo. It's an honor to be the 1st of what will no doubt be a long line of "Unsung Heroes" in these pages.
Cheers Guys
Andi (Soliloquy)

My band has to actually record it's demo first :D I'll get back to you in many months, I just hope we've improved by then!

Mark... the zine fucking RULES! It is really awesome!!
Cool interviews... ummm....

Edu Falaschi from Angra
Daniel Gildenlow from Pain of Salvation
Hansi Kursch from Blind Guardian
and of course the twin brothers Jasun and Troy Tipton from Zero Hour

Keep the good work up bro!!!!

Thank you very much, your words are very much appreciated!

Since hopefully Edu will remember having dinner with me at ProgPower last November, I'll see what I can do about landing an interview. Blind Guardian is always fun, though I'm currently attempting to work with Century Media, so hopefully they can help coordinate this. As for the prog bands, I'll see if I can't get one of our other writers to jump on this; we just began working with InsideOutMusic, so it shouldn't be terribly difficult.

Stay tuned for an interview with Russell Allen of Symphony X; this was just confirmed for me today. Cheers, and thanks for the support!

I'm available hehe :p

Now let's get serious:

Soilwork - Figure Number Five (it's not released yet, but it will come out soon, no? :p)
Exhumed - Slaughtercult
Napalm Death - Order Of The Leech
Enter Chaos - Dreamworker
Aeternus - Ascension Of Terror and A Darker Monument (coming out May 5)

:D

Soilwork will DEFINITELY be done and live on the site within 2-3 weeks.

Napalm Death shouldn't be a problem either; Papa Josh loves that album, so we should be able to get that done as well.

I can do the first Aeternus you've requested, but we'll have to see about Exhumed & Enter Chaos...maybe I'll "persuade" Eldzik to send me a copy of the Enter Chaos CD. Hehe.
