The School/Uni Thread

 good luck.

took my german final today. last final of the semester wooo. now I get to spend winter break researching and writing my thesis proposal and working student orientation :erk:

Scored another A- in my streaming media (video editing + web design) class. Surprised kind of, but this is the professor who's basically more of a friend/mentor than a teacher; I'm doing both an internship and my senior studio with him next semester, and he hangs out with the students on trips and brings us on class outings to the local brewery.

I just finished my astronomy final and guessed on more than 50% of them (multiple choice ftw, at least). I studied for hours beforehand but almost none of what I studied was relevant to the final. I HATE WHEN THIS HAPPENS.

Finished my exams yesterday and marks for most of my classes are already up.

I killed Copyright class with an A+, managed an A in Writing for Publication, an A+ in Intro to Publication. I am still waiting for marks in Book Production, Design, and probably the most useful class this past semester, Copyediting.

I still have a 10-page paper due tomorrow. I'm about 3 pages in. It's about Giambattista Vico on Homer. Somehow most of what I've written so far is about Livy.

Got As in Basic Principles of Psychotherapy and Intro to Administration of Justice, and A-s in Personality (...only 3 fucking points away) and Individual Society and Freedom.

It's about the only type of design I can do, make boxes, colour them, and layout some text columns and place pictures.

Do you do by-the-books shit or actually design in an "artistic" (lol) way? I hate InDesign because it's incredibly difficult to do anything remotely interesting. I'd rather lay out text and columns in fucking Illustrator.
