Universal health care will never work if it's approached how people like Gore and Edwards want to approach it.

Depends on how it is implemented. There's a lot to discuss on the subject, but I'm in no mood for thinking of any kind right now.

Hell, I don't even remember Edwards plan; does it involve a bit of socialist stancing though?

Giuliani...scares the ever loving shit out of me; he would be a horrifying president - the fact that he blows taxpayer money on his whores and acts like he is the toughest shit in the world (he's a bad liar too) is just fucking ridiculous. Romney.... oh lord I hope not. This country really can't be that stupid.
Then again, Huckabee has also been gaining support... :erk:

Hillary Clinton is a fucking cunt. I can't believe there are people on this board who would want her in office. Not only that, but have people ever thought about the fact that, if Clinton gets in office, it will be 24 years of either a Bush or Clinton in office?

This has crossed my mind, and I can't say I'm too pleased with the prospect. I wouldn't vote for her based on her character however - she may say all she wants too about the policies she will act on and implement, but in the end promises don't mean shit f you don't have the integrity or character to make them come true.

You have to get the doctors on board for universal health care to work. If health care is provided by the government, do you still have malpractice insurance? Who do you sue if something goes wrong, the government or the doctor?

There are many issues on liability that need to be ironed out before this can work.

But it still works. Have fun with your insane waiting lists if we have socialized healthcare.

Also socialized healthcare really hurts older/elderly people who need the help more. We think of it in terms of the current young generation only, it seems.

Im sorry, but I value as many people as possible being able to have health care more with longer waits than millions and millions of people not being able to have health care with shorter waits. You know, not always thinking about myself. Whether or not any practical implementation of a universal health care policy could ever work is kind of irrelevant to this particular issue, but regardless, there needs to be massive reforms to the health care policies that we currently have anyway.

Kucinich, If I am bothered to get a ballod sent over here for the primaries. Other than that I'll probably vote for who ever wins the Democratic nomination, especially if Romny or Hucafag gets nominated.

Nec wants me to have health care!

Thank God.

what are you, a Clinton fan?

Most people do not realize the broad reaching benefits of national health care. By taking the burden of health care off of our larger corporations, it allows them to cut costs and be more competitive internationally, thus bringing into the country a lot of the money needed for care.

Just look at cars for example. An insane amount of the money people pay for American cars goes towards health care for auto workers, who have a strong union. US auto prices would drop substantially enough to take a big chunk of the market back from Japan, if automakers didn't have that burden. That's more money going to American business. US autos could also be way more competitive overseas.

It just seems like none of the candidates seem concerned about the weakening value of the dollar, and they continue to bother with faux-issues like Iraq, gay marriage, and flag burning.
