The Top 5 List Thread

Top 5 beer styles

Thus far mine is something like:

1. Brown ale
2. Amber ale
3. English bitter
4. American pale ale
5. Sour

I don't drink beer much outside of going to live shows. Most of the venues I go to a lot at least sell an APA. Sometimes I find a beer I particularly like in a shop but then never see the brand on the shelves again so there's not much point singing its praises.

Top 5 releases this year so far:

1. Holocausto - Diário de Guerra
2. Neoandertals - Neanderthal Parallax
3. Torso - Demonic Vomiting demo
4. Inculter - Fatal Visions
5. Lord Gore - Scalpels for Blind Surgeons

surfer rosa:
  1. bone machine
  2. where is my mind?
  3. brick is red
  4. i'm amazed
  5. oh my golly!
doolittle:
  1. silver
  2. gouge away
  3. wave of mutilation
  4. hey
  5. debaser
i know 'silver' sounds nothing like the pixies and pixies fans don't care about it, but i've always wished i had a full album of stuff like that. always reminds me of the sandy badlands theme in ffvii.

Top5 Napalm Death albums. Join me, guys. I much prefer the latter period in their career, but I can see that as a quite unpopular opinion amongst the fans.

1. Enemy of the Music Business
2. Utilitarian
3. Smear Campaign
4. Apex Predator - Easy Meat
5. From Enslavement to Obliteration

Top 5 fav tracks by Napalm Death right now

1. Can't Play, Won't Pay
2. Next of Kin to Chaos
3. Cleanse Impure
4. Siege of Power
5. Unchallenged Hate

On paper my top 5 looks boring, I like their first 4 albums the most, and the order is the order they were released in. I have been and always will be a Scum guy. My 5th choice would be their Peel Sessions.

I can accept that. But I can't get that someone could have Scum over FETO, with the latter being clearly a much more superior product in, I think, every aspect considered.

Nah, maybe more precise and planned, but I don't always want that with grindcore. I want something more feral, unhinged and savage. Don't get me wrong, FETO is a masterpiece in its own right, but Scum is just way more dirty. Also I have more nostalgia with Scum, one of my oldest favourites and I had it and played it for years before I even bothered to check out FETO.

I actually think Napalm have produced nothing but awesome albums since the turn of the century. One of the few examples of a band having a genuine resurgence late in its career.

1. The Day That Never Comes
2. The Unforgiven III
