I guess that's true.

When I first got into death metal everybody was obsessed with them over here, not sure when (or if) that changed, but I do see them praised a lot less nowadays.

I will say I'm not too keen on the latest one. Probably the worst one I've heard from the band but it isn't bad. I just thought it was underwhelming relative to the hype.

It's easy! You just do it like this:

1. Octavarium
2. When Dream and Day Unite
3. Images and Words
4. Systematic Chaos
5. Awake

The trick is to put Train of Thought somewhere near the bottom, that way there's no chance you'll accidentally rank it above Octavarium.

I don't drink beer much outside of going to live shows. Most of the venues I go to a lot at least sell an APA. Sometimes I find a beer I particularly like in a shop but then never see the brand on the shelves again so there's not much point singing its praises.

On paper my top 5 looks boring, I like their first 4 albums the most, and the order is the order they were released in. I have been and always will be a Scum guy. My 5th choice would be their Peel Sessions.
