The Tuborg Sessions Expectations...

Better than Colony?! :loco: Colony is awesome except those horrible Behind Space/Clad In Shadows karaoke sessions with Anders Friden

Anders did well on Behind Space and Clad In Shadows, but the new version from Colony were poorly done. His performance was much better on the Koln '96 bootleg.
I prefer RTR over Colony, but it is just personal preference. Colony wasn't very interesting to me... I enjoyed some parts of it, but it wasn't consistent, as some parts were good, but others were boring.

Shit. Clayman was barely passable. Colony rocked.. as did everything before it.

Although it's just opinion, CLayman was much more consistent than Colony, nad Much better in almost every way. The vocals on Clayman were also better, although weak in some spots, the music as a whole was better on Clayman.

Uh... no.

'Watch Them Feed' seemed to be going in the right direction musically. However, I still cannot stand Anders vocal style. The clean vocals were bearable on Clayman, but were absolutely ridiculous on RTR. Anders, at times sounded like a mix between Jon Davis and Marilyn Manson. There's probably some other terrible vocalists that he sounded like as well. Cut the shit and go back to your old vocal style.

On the up-side, I've got new Dimension Zero to look forward to! :)

Anders sounds nothing like either Jonathan Davis or Marilyn Manson. His voice is distinctly different, and this popular comparison has no sensable basis. The start of this was when people began to say Anders looked like Jonathan Davis with his dreadlocks. He didn't, but then that evolved to saying he was trying to look like him, and then saying he sounded and tried to be the vocalist from Korn. He never looked like him in the first place, just the comparison of Anders' shoulder length thick dreads to Davis' longer and thinner braids. There is no resemblance in performance or appearance.

I also look forward to 'This is Hell', and I'm sure a lot of others do too.

dont know what the fuck he's on, clayman and colony both kick r2r's ass,
at least they've got tallented aspects to them, unlike r2r

It's really a matter of preference, but RTR is varied more than Colony, and although some parts may not be as good as others, they aren't boring like parts of Colony.
And if you plan on speaking about talent, at least learn how to spell 'Talented' correctly. After that work on building an argument and being independent of crowds while arguing, or attempting to argue.

The new album... it'll be a continuation of Reroute to Remain. Every song will have a big chorus with clean vocals. Maybe they'll use the guitar a bit more as a lead instrument like in Watch Them Feed, and you never know, maybe we'll get a solo (a good one, as opposed to a 'Transparent' one). But I think that anyone holding out for a return to the style of the older albums is really wasting their time. It's just like Metallica - anyone who bought St. Anger expecting a thrash album really needs a slap. If you liked Reroute to Remain then I'm sure you'll like the next one. If you're one of those people who hates RTR and spends a lot of time bashing it, then get ready to do the same all over again.

Personally, I'm really looking forward to it. The only really crap track on RTR IMO was Transparent, which really was pretty duff. Cloud Connected is another dodgy one, but it's an ok song - just not very In Flames-esque. But for the most part I thoroughly enjoy Reroute... , especially now, when I can listen to it without that initial shock factor that there was the first time I heard it. In fact, recently I find myself listening to RTR more than any of their other albums. It just ROCKS. I've no doubt that whatever they do next, it'll keep me happy.

I got MSN and ICQ though.
uhh yeah this is off topic....but on topic but anywho: you could always dl it. its free....but then you sometimes get crap about free hours and these porn bots iming you....but you could always block them.

There's no way in fucking hell that In Flames has sounded like KoRn. This is the most annoying fucking thing I've ever heard. You should just be happy that they aren't rapping or actually doing that annoying whining bullshit like he's crying like Jon Davis. The only song that sounds somewhat like KoRn was Transparent, and all that was, was the guitars sounded like were tuned like KoRn.

BY THE WAY

Tuborg is NOT a city, as some people are assuming because the pre-production is referred to as the "Tuborg Sessions". Well, maybe it is a city, but the sessions are NOT named for the city in question.

Tuborg is a Danish beer that the guys were drinking during the recording sessions, and they decided, "hey, let's call it this". This can be verified with a recent interview with Peter.

If someone else has already said this, then i apologize...i didn't feel like reading through three pages of posts after seeing like three in a row that were so wrong...
