The Tuborg Sessions Expectations...

Watch them feed was a good song form what I remember, but I haven't gotten Trigger yet as nowhewre around here has it and I never got around ot ordering it from the end... As with RTR, it is probably even better live, an that's the one time I heard it.
 
NO NO Watch Them Feed was awful! That riff in the beginning is so nu metalish it's not even funny.

If anybody wants a good album seriously check out Norther's Mirror Of Madness, it's fuckin' killer, like melodic metal in the vein of CoB and Eternal Tears Of Sorrow.
 
I really hope that they go back to technical guitar work... I liked watch them feed but the only real thing that the new songs lack is solos... Listening to the solos in Clayman and Whoracle (for example) just keep me listening to those albums again and again...
 
I, sadly, have lost all hope in IF. I love TJR, Whoracle, and colony, but I will probably not be purchasing anything after Clayman.
 
i honestly.... however much this may hurt don't think in flames can put out a record like the old ones :(
i think even clayman was 900% better than R2R... i think it will just be a down fall now :(


unless of course there is some kinda of miricle and they actually start playing jester race/whoracle style again, in which case i would go out and buy 10 of the albums just to honour them
 
Hopefully it will continue evolving since being stuck on any album is bad, and RTR would be bad to repeat...
maybe we'll se growls and clayman or RTR guitars...
i just hope they play some more good riffs and solos, and change the tuning again...

I like RTR< but I do not want to see any album repeated, even TJR or Whoracle.

They need to go back and write another Jester Race style album, they would become so popular if they did that. Use more speed picking and fast drums, keep the production good, and still use clean vocals but not as much. Have more solos and guitar melodies. They would kick so much ass. And they should keep the electronics there as well but not over do them.
 
One really stupid thing people say is that keyboards ruin In Flames music.
Listen to The Jester Race.
With the lyrics "And We Go... Are Steps So Silent", the melody is keyboards.
I would like to see the keyboards compliment the rest of the music again instead of moving apart from it.
 
well i listened to Trigger EP and i was totally expecting something way different for the Genesis cover. from listening to the original song, i was convinced that it would be anders on clean vocals and very R2R in style. but it was not, i actually liked anders's clean vocals and i think if he went a more Passenger - direction, but with all the guitar wonders of pre-R2R....it would be PERFECT.. but i think he's gonna do that weird style he used on Trigger EP
 
Hopefully In Flames will release another RTR style mainstream album, then say fuck you to the nu-metal fnas and make an aexcellent melodic death album :)
 
I'm not really too fond of the keyboard. I liked them on Colony however. But take Only for the Weak for example, right after Bjorn's solo, they have that little pop sounding thing right before starting the song up again. Like why?
