Ever got played and didn't realize until looking back and being like, "yeah... that was fucked up?"
So before this year's MDF I was pretty undecided whether or not I was going because I was stressed out with life in general. My friend bought her ticket and booked her hotel (BlueWestern Envy) which was like a mile and a half away from the venues. That hotel is pretty cheap, I've roomed there two times before. However, the AC doesn't really work, the shower doesn't either and there's like mold all over the ceiling, so you kinda get what you pay for. But like for three days it's not a big deal, and she was spliting it with another friend.
I decided last minute I'd go to MDF and bought my ticket. She had asked me if I wanted to room with her. I told her I wasn't sure but most likely yes if I didn't find a room available. My boyfriend wanted to go too when I told him i had bought my ticket. So he got his and booked a hotel close to the venues. So, I basically decided that I'll obviously room with him and split the costs.
When I told her that she got super upset with me and made it seem as though it was about the money. Her sister even texted me mean shit too. So, I just gave her the money ($175) I would've given her if I had roomed with her. Now, I told this story to a friend of mine and she basically said I shouldn't have done that and that she had booked/decided she was going before I even decided I was going. Therefore, none of that should've been my problem.
I feel dumb now. And played.
