If you think England is a province of the UK you really should be shot. England has been around 100's and 100's of years before the UK ever came about. England is and has always been a COUNTRY like the U.S.A. We have counties, yes counties which are like your states, for example my county is Hampshire, but I dont say im Hampshirian or whatever, im English.

A) He wasn't implying that England was a province.

B) Yes England is a country, but so is the United Kingdom. Americans assume people are called by the name of the country they're in. You are in the country of the United Kingdom (Great Britain) so Americans call you British. I say English though.

C) British people, or Britons,[1] are a nation[2][3][4][5][6] or inhabitants of Great Britain[7][8] or citizens of the United Kingdom, of the Isle of Man, one of the Channel Islands, or of one of the British overseas territories. In an historical context, the word is used to refer to the ancient Brythons, the indigenous inhabitants of most of Great Britain.

Check the remember me box?

It's checked. Everytime I use the forum, I'm logged in automatically, but if I get distracted for 5 minutes or more, when I come back all my bolded last post buttons are gone. It's annoying as hell. Have I missed something really obvious or what?

You mean the thread links become unbolded? That happens to me only when I see that the thread has new posts, but don't open the thread; then a few hours later I'll refresh the page, and if no one new has posted, it's not bold anymore.

You mean the thread links become unbolded?

Yeah after about 3 to 5 mins of inactivity. If I go outside, answer the phone, or type a post that takes longer than 5 minutes, when I continue browsing it has logged me out and back in again and all the bolded buttons are unbolded. It's very trying, and when it happens, sometimes I burst into tears.

The first new post button works great for me. As long as I do not leave the page, the bold links stay. I use Firefox. I don't know if it's a browser issue or not.

I probably only read about half the threads on this forum and the GMD. I stop in a few times a day though. I'll check certain threads, especially "Black Metal" every time there are new posts.
