.......did you pretend to be something? Like a superhero, cartoon character, cop, fireman, etc.? What did you used to play as a kid? I'm curious as to what you guys have to say, since we have a span of ages in this forum, you are all interesting(read:insane) individuals. :).

Me, i used to pretend to be a pro wrestler. I would put on a pair of blue jeans, a plain white, sleeveless shirt, tuck it in, put on my leather jacket, slick back my hair, put on sunglasses, and i would transform into the NCW(Nick Championship Wrestling) world heavyweight champion, "Greased Lightnin'" Nicky Rock! I would wrestle such legendary wrestlers as "Wild" Alfie Melman(my Alf doll), Gar Smashem(my giant Garfield doll) and Roger Rabid(my Roger Rabbit doll). I even had entrance music! I stole my mom's Billy Haley and His Comet's tape and i'd come out to "Rock Around The Clock". I even had a replica WCW belt i'd use.

ah.....memories.

This thread is so fucking off the wall!!!!!!!
Pretend to be something? Let me think back.
A Cowboy!!!!!
I used to have three pet goats, that I used to pretend were cows or horses.
We had a shit load of chickens, so in my mind I was a Cowboy, living in a farm
or some nonsense like that. By the way, the goats were just pets, they weren't eaten, nor were they sacrificed...

yes, I was also a wrestler: hulkamania!!!, later I was the ultimate warrior, after elementary, I got fed up with wrestling as my friends also did, but it would come back with a vengeance in the late 90's period with triple h, the rock and stone cold. My favorite though was blitzkrieg on wcw, he inspired me to join a band of backyard wrestlers in high school, we did a ladder match were I backflipped off a ladder, I will never do that again now that I realize how dangerous it was. Other favorites were laparka, ciclope, the villanos, spike dudley, psychosis, damian(the mexican metalhead) and all the superastros.

I used to pretend I was a soldier, and sometimes a police detective. Once I hit 10 years old, I started pretending I was a guitarist...some people say I'm STILL pretending to be a guitarist, even though I've been playing bass close to 18 years...he he...

I use to play a kind of space/time hero killing aliens (and people) and altering history, you know the kind of thing that makes you grow up normally :loco:

Until I was 10, I used to hang out at my grandma's everyday after school until my parents got off work and picked me up. I had like 7 or 8 male cousins who were there as well, and they always wanted to play soccer or (american) football. So at one point I was Hugo Sanchez or Franco Harris :Spin:

I also used to pretend I was a theater director. My cousins were the actors and I would pick up their costumes and dress them up in a really stupid way - the amazing thing is that they let me :tickled:

You like the same wrestlers that my guitarist's brother likes. They are alright, there are some cruiserweights that I dont like though, like rey mysterio and kidman, they blow.

Sometimes I used to play royal rumble at recess, and there was this fat kid in my class, he was always forced to be andre the giant, or else he couldn't play, I didn't force him, but others did.

Like jonnyD I also received a powerbomb one day, and had a slight migrane the rest of that day. I also did headscissors received suplexes and was spinebusted on two chairs ,but I had a biker padding taped to my back under my shirt and it worked! it didn't hurt at all, and it looked great on the video, oh, I forgot to mention, we videotaped it, it was histerical!! :loco:

I used to pretend I was Miss Elizabeth (Randy Savage's wife) and clap my hands like her when she was standing ringside.

Well, your guitarist's brother has a good taste in wrestlers.:D I dunno, i just like long, technical, moderate or fast paced matches, and all those guys, plus some of my other favorites can do that.

These days, me and my friend Ali actually wrestle with his his little brothers, on his mom's bed, doing actual moves. Ali used to backyard wrestle, so he knows all the moves. I've personally have gotten the powerbomb, F5, Tombstone piledriver, last ride, snapmare takeover, crossface, chops, knife edge chops, surfboard, sharpshooter, figure four and boston crab from him. He's a pretty big guy.And might I add, all the submission moves hurt like a bitch!!

Back to the subject, i also used to pretend i was Robin Hood when i was 6. I went through this huge Robin Hood phase, thanks the Kevin Costner movie that came out around that time. My mom even made me a costume, hat, pants, cape, the whole deal andeven bought me a NERF crossbow. Me and my friend Kevin would go around the neighborhood stealing from the rich, giving to the poor, and battling the greedy Prince John and the Sheriff of Nottingham. We had a cloth bag full of rocks that we'd use as a bag of money that'd we'd steal from them and give to the poor. Man, i loved being a kid.

Well I once was athletic and my firends and I played baseball, football, kickball and swam quite a bit. As far as "pretending" though I always played a soldier, stuntman or Evel Kneival. I used to do all kinds of stupid shit on my bicycles. It's amazing I have all my body parts.

I used to wait untill my dad comes back from the border. Then my brother and I and some other kids would get dressed up in our dad's army uniforms, complete with waterbottles, steel helmets, rugsacks, boots you fuckin name it. Yeah we were soldiers, I'll scan in some photo's if I can find them. This really brings back memories, T.V. dindn't exist till I was like 9 or so, and then they only showed crap, we had 1 channel only. I guessed I would have been into wrestling as well but I don't like it now anymore, I'm too much of critic.
