TRIGGER Intro Video and NEWS

I have the EXACT problem. Please help! According to Ilok you cannot delete demo licenses. HELP!!!

My demo time is just wasting away and still no help! I even made a support ticket thing on your Slate Digital site and no one has responded. Also looks like I'm not the only one with this problem either.

Djohanssen if you figure it out the problem let me know please.

support will get back to you and if needed, the demo time can be extended. sorry for your troubles

I'm testing the demo right now. Pretty awesome!!! Unfortunatelly for the unlucky Protools m-powered/LE guys like me, trigger adds 425samples of latency. I can solve it printing my triggered tracks anyway.
Trigger works very very well.
Don't know if it was already asked, but can we use our own samples with trigger? At least, it would be cool to have an utility to convert our samples in a trigger compatible format.
Very good plugin Steven!

Yep you can! See instrument maker section in video.

Even in live mode there is that much latency?

i see an iLok as a software world analog of DRM.
no real protection, only trouble for end user.

i am NOT advocating piracy.but, look around, this is reality,iLOK's been cracked.even for MAC OSX.
software devs following RIAA.both of these industries will have to change.the sooner ,the better for them.
if they won't change, then yes,no one is gonna make plugins....

this business model is not working anymore.

But then what would work? Even Slates file id type of protection bit the dust on SSD platinum, even though it worked for a long time.

Event though iLok can be a pain for some people, it still keeps at least some people away from pirating.

It doesn't do anything more than the standard serial challenge/response system does. All it does is inconvenience the end user. The pirates get a one-click set-up and off they go, yet consumers get the benefit of paying hundreds for their software only to find they are tied up in having to spend extra on flimsy dongles and offline authorization systems that can take days (IK, I'm looking at you).

Slate's allowed to protect his software however he wants of course, and I'm not gonna tell him what to do. But the reality is that iLok is just an obsolete pain in the ass for the LEGITIMATE customers, not the pirates.

Don't take it literally.i don't know what would work.i guess no one knows yet.
the point is,now it is easier to install pirated software than legit stuff,
protection is done at the expense of genuine buyer.it's not normal situation,so something has to be done about it.
they loosing potential customers...

EDIT:

ERMZ just said it all, while i was typing.

Yep. If I could find cracked versions of my iLok plugins that I legitimately own and paid for, I would download them and use them instead just for the convenience. Doing mobile stuff with my Macbook is a huge pain in the ass because of the iLok, I only have 2 USB ports, one for my interface and one for my mouse :/ I can't even use Pro Tools because M-Powered needs the iLok so I'm forced to use the track pad instead of a real mouse or cart around a USB hub as well.

I'm probably on my own here, but I like that slate is going ILOK. I work in a dozen different studios all the time, and I bring 2 things with me: My ilok and a usb dongle with all the installers for all the plugs I bought. In 10-15 minutes I have all my toys at my disposal without having to go to websites and authorize a new computer, wait for a challenge/response code or anything. Ilok is way less of a hassle then any other form of copy protection IMO.

Even the NI service center BS protection for SSD 3.5 is annoying as hell for me, so I bring my laptop just for SSD.

I, for one, love the iLok. I tend to use primarily iLok-enabled plugins, because it makes the whole process of managing a home DAW and a mobile system far easier and faster.

<-- And here's another iLok-liker :)

I fucking HATE the harddisk-authorisation method, where you can only use the software with one pc and if you dare to reinstall everything is gone. The iLok is so much easier.
Very happy Slate is going the iLok way (finally).
