TRIGGER Intro Video and NEWS

Nauru. Sorry to hear that.

To the question, what if the kick and snare are played at the same time.. we have two scenarios:

1 - There is a slight latency between the kick and the snare, if even by a two milliseconds... in which case TRIGGER will take care of this fine with its leakage suppression

2 - The drummer is a robot and plays them perfectly aligned.. in this case you wouldn't even need leakage suppression and can just trigger off the transient

Slate, scenario 2 would work fine for the kick drum but what about the snare? I guess there is still use for recording a trigger track off the snare :)

i just tried this scenario both with the snare directly on and just off the kick.. TRIGGER handled it perfectly. :)

looks interesting.... anyone else think the narrator of the vid sounded like he was hitting a joint on and off throughout, minus the inhale sounds?... you know, the sound when you talk while holding the smoke in your lungs?

He was sick and had a gate on to try to help hide it.

Looks great. Not too sure the iLok will do any good as others have mentioned, also considering every Waves plugin has been cracked as of today...hopefully users, (I know I will), will purchase this!

3- the drummer is not a robot and sidechain-supression is needed, but every 5th or 10th hit ligns up perfectly (be it just by chance). That's actually the most common scenario, isn't it...in that case every 5th or 10th hit won't be triggered cause the sidechain input supresses it?

like Phil Anselmo?

I'm pretty sure that's Steven's voice

Or how about the common technique of gridding the kicks independently of the snares in metal? If you like a high 'strength' setting, you might find you lose every single snare under kick hits.

Anyway, it's hard to say until we have the ability to demo this ourselves. I'll be using it on a very intensive, very fast thrash/tech/melo death session shortly after the demo goes public, so all will become clear quickly.

.

true, I always quantize before triggering

I just noted the prices in euros on the Slate Digital web shop are higher than the price in dollar x rate change.

1$=0.749€ (today)
in the shop : 1$=0.87€, it's 16% higher.

Why that ?
