Under Rated, Under Appreciated and yet Brilliant!

This was one of the only tapes I ever had stolen out of my car. Stolen during a period when Death Row Records (the rap label) was big. That means some dude got home and put the tape in thinking it was going to be rap and he got blasted by German thrash. Probably the only time in his life he heard good music.

Cool to see James's faves.

That fuckin blows dude ... I had the same thing happen except it was with a cd case ... lost like 40 cds (some of that shit was really hard to get) and I have a hard time believing whoever broke into my car and stole it was a metal fan.

Oh yeah, the fucker also stole my glasses

what kind of lowlife piece of shit steals someone's fucking GLASSES?

Deathrow!! Thanks for remembering me, instant classic! Gotta have that tape(!) somewhere...

Also, with a bit more aggressive vocals, some swedish thrash:

I never want this thread to end

- pretty death metal but still thrashes

And finally maybe not AS underground as most bands in this thread but still nowhere near as big as they should have been - next to Metallica and Testament my fave thrash band:

Twisted Into Form just slays! Heard Andy was asked to remix it recently? I might be confused though

Remember when Time Cannot Heal came out, it had that sticker that said "Over 278 Riffs!" or something like that? They actually counted up all their riffs. Classic.

Keep 'em coming - always room on my Want List!!

gotta admit, there's some new ones to me up there!

one of the missing links between thrash and death:

Heathen I agree with also, don't know about the christian part but that really doesn't matter either way ... Always thought Victims of Deception was just a monster of a disc. Glad to hear they're on the comeback trail (Andy? You getting in on this?)

Wan't Victims of Deception TOTALLY trying to be And Justice For All? (songwise, and especially production wise)

My vote goes to Forbidden - Twisted Into Form Amazing album, totally stands up to some of the more popular thrash bands.

Xentrix, could have been Britains answer to Metallica but were never quite there. Great in the late 80's, early 90's though.

Was gonna mention Jeff Loomis' old band Sanctuary but Mr Murphy beat me to it.

the key is to look for Ed Repka's artwork... or anything that rips it off!

[EDIT: Just noticed Twisted into Form and Shattered Existence (xentrix) have already been mentioned]
