I remember my München summer diet... Hefeweiss, ritter sport, cakes and sandwiches from the cafe Altschwabing, yoghourt.
Beer gardens are good too- Bavarian portion and you are sorted for the next 3 days.

Summer festivals looking more expensive every year. Graspop at a nice 150€ for 3 days, Metaltown is even worse, forget 'Crap'en ... for on average, with airfare or gas, food, beer, etc - 500-600€ for a short wknd - ... might as well spend less, go to a beerfest and stay in a nice hotel for about 1/2 that price.
