Weed question.

Leary performed a bunch of interesting studies back in the day, along with Alan G and a few others, and it seems pretty conclusive that a drugs high makes for much more mellow and relaxed people than an alcohol high.

Having said that, I get drunk much more often than anything else. :)

Different strokes for different folks. Alcohol makes me obnoxious and loud and I usually regret getting wasted the next morning. Not to mention the hangovers.

Weed just amplifies my already mellow personality and opens my mind to a lot things I wouldn't normally open it to, especially if I was drunk. Listening to music, creating art, playing music, playing video games, going to shows, even just hanging out with friends are all a lot more enjoyable for me when I'm stoned than when I'm drunk. Booze makes my head spin and stirs my thoughts into a mess. There are definitely times when smoking leads to laziness, but only if you let it. You've got a choice when you get high... be lazy or have tons of fun. The choice for me is obvious. When I get drunk, it's a lot harder to control myself and I usually just end up giggling and talking a lot about nothing in particular and belching. Seems a waste. The only downside I've noticed to getting high is that I have perfect thoughts in my head but have trouble explaining them out loud.

I choose weed, others choose drink. Cheers to you and your preference!

Oh, and what Karen said reminded me of something the singer in my last band said once... "Everything in moderation.... including moderation." This goes for any aspect of life, but fits especially well for the topic of this thread.

I don't use alcohol or drugs to handle my problems... in fact: I solve my problems only when I'm sober.
I'm a pretty healthy person, phisically and mentally (well: nobody's perfect, but I think I'm quit alright 'in there')
regardless: I love drinking with friends, in the right amounts, and I love share a space cake with my buddies.
Its a lot of fun.
Nothing is wrong with that.
:)

I agree 100% +rep!

Substances should never be used to improve your life, and instead used sort of as a reward. Besides... it's always better when you're happy to begin with. If you're not happy, it's not going to make anything better for you in the long run.

We need to share a joint soon, K

I brought something really nice to share with you last night...but you didn't come out to play. Me and the Suffocation boys re-enacted the van scene from Fast Times At Ridgemont High after the show. Shoulda been there! Check your pm's!!!
