What album should I listen to while I sleep?

Opeth - Morningrise. Can't believe no one mentioned it. that album is MAGICAL if you listen to it at night. some others:

Sigur Ros - ( )
Raison D'Etre - any one
The Cancer Conspiracy - The Audio Medium
Ulver - Perdition City
Nick Drake - Pink Moon
Devil Doll - any
Neurosis - A Sun That Never Sets
Isis - Oceanic

HELL YES!! It's not particularly sleeping music until you hit TBYF, which is an amazing ending if you're really tired and can just fall asleep after that. The atmosphere of Morningrise when listened to at night is just amazing, you have to do it. Just make sure you don't have Eternal Soul Torture on the end, that would spoil it. :p

Also:
Dargaard - In Nomine Aeternitatis
Martin Taylor & Gordon Giltrap - A Matter of Time (mellow acoustic guitar stuff... I'm sharing it on the hub if anyone's interested)

Falling asleep to King Crimson? Is that possible? Moonchild and the second side of Islands maybe...

Depends which KC obviously :)

In The Court is ok, the title track is a real dream fest IMO, ditto In The Wake Of Poseidon.
Lizard and Islands are also good too for sleep. After that it gets a bit didgy, as they became more guitar orientated, so Lark's tongues onwards isn't so good.

I dont have half of the albums mentioned. lol... I listened to Damnation last night, I dunno what tonight.

Ummm.... the stuff folks are mentioning aren't even the obscure stuff. :Smug:

I mean, I could mention about A MILLION great bands for said purpose (though obviously you're nodded of already no doubt :p ) But you won't have any, so I'll stick to a simple one you're likely to have.

Ulver - Perdition City

I've actually burnt of Perdtion City AND 'A Quick Fix Of Melancholy' to one CD, it fits...... just.

Bumblefoot was on the right track though...... ;)

Nope, I don't have ulver. Last night i fell asleep to Nightingale - 'The Closing Chronicles'... I was going to maybe make a mix to use tonight, but have no clue what to include on it.

What obscure stuff were you going to mention? Maybe I'll be compelled to download it.
