I don't want to be in a prog metal band or an orchestra though. I wanna be in a metal band that rocks hard. It's tough to get a crowd to headbang in 7/8.

its simple mate, a local band called meet me in st louis do it all the time. they rock hard in weird time signatures!

'Shadow Dance' by MacDowell... I've transposed it into Em, and it has some really cool sweeps and open string tapping harmonies... It was originally written on piano, but it sounds killer on guitar!

Scarified is all about the economy picking. I've got it down at 80% speed. it's going to take a long time to get the rest. I'm not going to touch the solo though. Paul Gilbert is a silly silly man. Not as silly as Mr Romeo, but nevertheless silly.
