An American President has to be born in this country. Somehow this was filtered down and out out of view and off the radar. Several highly influential groups tried to bring it before the "Supreme" Court and it was pushed away each time.

There are two types of Americans, the Apathetic Complacent "whatever, where's my check, I don't care, hey your blocking the TV." and the ones that have actually had to go out work, built something in life, made a load of sacrifices, got somewhere even in a modest manner, and are proud of it.


It's all cool, after the US is whored out by treasonous administrations, corrupt and greedy executives and half the population is subsidized by the new socialist government I'll be sipping fruity umbrella drinks in Panama watching the sun go down.

he's been in office a month and a week. what the fuck are you people whining about already? as long as we don't get hit by a terrorist attack in the next 9 months, we're a lot better off already than when w started.
 
Okay, that was a lengthy and very polemic rant but you did not answer my question...

I KNOW that you have to be born in the US to become president and Barack was.

And btw. I think this principle, that you have to be born in the US to become president - not only a citizen, is irrational because a) you're possibly excluding very capable people from ever performing this position and b) you're dividing the citizens of your country into citizens of different classes. And I think this is somehow in contrast to the values, this country claims to be created upon: "All men are created equal" etc.
 
on spending, Lynn, you should really take a basic economics course. Spending now is not making us worse off, it prevent a depression. It is basic. Right now, the money supply is rapidly contracting as a result of distress in financial markets. When money dissapears from an economy, deflation may occur and unemployment soars. So what is Obama doing by spending is simply replenishing the money supply through a deficit. This will be necessary until the financial system becomes well capitalized enough to take risks and leverage loans, and therefore contribute to an expanding money supply. A growing economy needs a growing money supply or you are fucked. That is the simplified part. Now, democrats in congress have not been doing quite the right kind of spending, but that is a whole different story.

And stop being an idiot. Probably, you would fail the citizenship test, so don't even get me started on your american patriotism, nativist bullshit. So what if he was born in Kenya (he wasn't....)? So what if he is a muslim? I honestly hope you move to Europe and beaten in the streets for you little bullshit and then go scream at the American embassy for a bailout.
