For me it's a tie between L.A. Guns and Firewind. Both are playing on the same night and I'm not sure which one to go to.

l.a. guns are touring europe every six months, it's the fourth of fifth time they come here since 2004. You can skip them with confidence f you already saw them

You lucky git!!!!! Both belong to the most outstanding live bands in the world (somewhere after Threshold of course). It's quite a while ago now, but how was it? You will surely have taken pics? Can you post a link that doesn't require a sign-up?


Me, I'm counting hours until Monday when PENDRAGON will give the honour.
I'm sooo looking forward to that, and it shortens the almost unbearable waiting time for the next Threshold gig on 1st Nov....

I was going on 3rd Nov to Glasgow for Mastodon/Trivium/Slayer but as it is some distance and I will have just come off nights, and (no friends) I would be going on my own, I have scrapped the plan.

I am however going to see Seth Lakeman (accoustic folk!!!) on 4th Nov at Newcastle. Not my usual thing, my wife heard one track and in a "let's live for the moment and do what we want" moment bought tickets and then two days later revealed she had heard more and didn't really like it! She's going and I will be making sure she sits through the whole thing!!!

That aside the horizon is its usual Scottish bleak musical wasteland
