Which cd did you just buy?

Coheed And Cambria - Good Apollo I'm Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through The Eyes Of Madness.

Sometimes it's nice to try something new, sometimes it's even better when that new turns out to be good.

Must be said, of the bundle of stuff I bought offline, the Elvenking and Kalmah albums are fucking awesome... The new suidakra is god awful!!!
Did Caledonia leak or are you talking about Command to Charge?

@taliesin: Im talking about command to charge. see I didnt even know CtC was out, and I saw it on an online shop, so I go it thinking it was new, as it appears in this catalogue I saw as a new release. I dunno what caledonia's gonna be all about... I'll definately have to DL a few tracks before I buy it though.

Edit: @Salamurhaaja: I agree man. My bro is so up his own arse about them it's unbelievable. He hates them because MTV said they were emo... when anything remotely emo about them is just so distant from generic emo that it really doesn't matter. What does matter is they write catchy yet interesting songs and the album has an undeniably epic feel... maybe thats just because of the concept... I dunno.

Sala: been listening quite a lot to that one. I like it!
Except for the name of the album :p

Yeah, that is a bit painful, especially when I made my CD into MP3 with a
computer not online, writing cramps :erk:

@KC
Emo? um, right, I'm quite sure there isn't an emo band able to put this kind
of emotion on a CD, quite ironically infact.

And yeah, it does sound very epic, maybe due to the concept, even if I am
not mad enough to see it yet ;) The songs are catchy, but they have a kinda
"nasty" edge to them, maybe that is why MTV (like they've had anything to
say about music for the last 10 years) thinks they are emo.

But yeah, listened to it about 6 times in a row last nite and haven't had an
album do that in a long while. Will have to check their other albums as well,
since they may make me mad enough to see that concept ;)

I just got Omega Massif's demo EP thing entitled 'Kalt' through the post this morning free with a t-shirt. The EP is four tracks, and is 45 mins long. It's concept is: Dying alone in the middle of a blizzard/arctic exhibition.

Omega Massif are basically a fucking awesome underground progressive instrumental doom band from germany... I'd carry this post on in the 'check out this band' section, but I'm arsed... Check them out!!!

I just bought that as well today, as you can see

Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime
Judas Priest - Angel Of Retribuition
Satyricon - Now, Diabolical
Coheed And Cambria - Good Apollo I'm Burning Star IV, Vol. 1

Bloodbath - Nightmares Made Flesh \m/

Atheist - "Unquestionable Presence"
Bolt Thrower - "Those Once Loyal"
Deicide - "Legion"
Suffocation - "Effigy of the Forgotten/Pierced From Within"
Fates Warning - "Awaken the Guardian"

I've spent over $200 in CDs this week!

Yesterday I was handed a bunch of CDs to review.

1. Schattenreich - Compilation 3
2. Broken Dreams - Compilation 2
both harmless Gothic Garden-Party stuff..But the Schattenreich-selection is much better, though, I even liked a song of a band I usually don´t like at all, it´s Subway To Sally. And I didn´t know that Eisheilig sound that_much like Rammstein, or at least try to.
3. + 4. Cheap Trick: Perfect Stranger + Rockford: I wanted to do this, because Dan Swanö likes them, and I wanted to learn something new about his influences. Listened just once for now, it´s terribly rocksong-like, but definitely good songwriting, I can see Dan´s point of view.
5. Frontline Assembly: Artificial Soldier. Uhm.... I think I`ll pass this over to someone else. The vocals are really not for me. Where are Zeromancer when you need them...
6. Bullet For My Valentine: Tears Don´t Fall (Single). :ill:
Perfectly customized to fit a teenie-movie, 100% emo with a hilarious attempt at death metal in the bridge

Can´t wait for the new Poisonblack... :)
