Just that: which Opeth album rips your fucking heart out, by just sheer emotional intensity?

For me, My Arms, Your Hearse is the only answer. Especially at this point in life. If I listen to this album as I'm going to bed, I WILL cry -- even to things like 'Prologue'. The lyrics, the rage, the longing, the despair... sometimes it's scary how much I identify with this album. Songs like Karma kill me, even parts like, 'The cold season drift over the land/They all huddle in the brown corners/Some would settle for less/The castles were all empty, asleep/Long awaiting their king/Beckoning 'round the bend'. And the scream at the end. I don't know, just a brutally personal album for me. So that's my choice.

Yours?

the track Blackwater Park.
otherwise, MAYH turns me into a fucking demon when i listen to it

finally, it wasn't until recently that i could listen to "Ice" by Camel without crying.

fuck, anything from Camel is loaded with emotion

i recommend therapy. all opeth has emotion. but i wouldnt say they have "torn my heart out".

Prologue doesnt rip my heart out...it actually kind of scares me. I mean that piano comes out of nowhere...I have to turn down the volume just so that I don't piss myself. From now on when prologue comes on, don't cry....instead imagine me pissing myself

god damn bullshit that sox yanks game was.....

anyway rips my heart out..... lol

id say morningrise and still life are very touching tho

+ Mantraschism :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: for the immortal now playing seems that a lot of people dismiss them cause of their look

@Gunhaver: Ok... well, I guess you can fuck yourself. =\

@NineFeetUnderground: 'Rip your heart out' - have you heard of exaggeration? Anyway, I didn't mean that it has so strong an impact every time -- but my current personal situation enhances it greatly. Therefore, I cry to it. I repeat, not every time. Crying to music is not abnormal.

@symbolic_acts: Yeah, Immortal were fucking great. They did have a rather funny image (and I love their lyrics =D), but hell, I'm wearing the 'Sons of Northern Darkness' shirt right now, proudly! \m/ The ultimate in grimness... hehehe.

@synergy: Lol, 'Prologue' doesn't usually have any effect on me at all, aside from establishing a serene and rather sad mood. Like I said earlier, it's just a situation I'm in right now that seems to lend so much more emotion to it (even up to the sound of rain).

I don't cry to any music regardless of its beauty because I am neither a homosexual or a female.

See what I meant in Luz' thread?

Anyway, it's MAYH, with SL being a short second and partly BWP.
