Asphyx is going to play a top 3 set, no doubt about it. For Friday, DRI will likely be ridiculous, as will Watain from what I've heard about their live performances. Autopsy and Sodom are big ones for Saturday, but The Chasm is easily going to top that day for me (possibly the entire weekend as well). Sunday might be the only day I'm not up front row for the outside stage the entire time, as I'm interested in watching Gridlink and From Ashes Rise; even if it means that getting front for N2002 and Pentagram is going to be a bit of a challenge.

Yeah, I feel totally entranced every time I'm kicked in the back of the fucking head by some faggot like viewer_from_nihil displaying his habitual faggot behavior. Possibly because I'm only semi-conscious at that point so everything seems like it's in a dream-like state. Though, my hair is shorter than it was last year, so it would get tangled amidst the bodies of other faggots less. I can't believe I'm saying this at 23, but I'm too old for that shit.

Only thing I hate about getting up front at concerts are the idiots who start flailing around. If you're gonna headbang, whatever, do it but arms either stay at your side or go straight up not side to fucking side.

I've been doing this ever since I was accidentally elbowed directly in the face at a little hardcore concert when I was 15 (and by someone twice my age and size at the time). As much as I enjoy watching shows with high-energy crowds I'm not interested in throwing myself into that environment. Also, aside from people's general wrecklessness, the massively large crowds and overselling of venues have ruined so many concert experiences for me that I'm hesitant to even see my favorite bands in indoor settings anymore.

Getting kicked or hit by some drunk faggot is indeed annoying, but the bother is usually short-lived and I can go back to enjoying the set. The horde of Limp Bizkit fans during Mayhem's set last year was pretty bad though.

I was lucky to not get hurt or elbowed or anything during that insane fucking outside Bolt Thrower set last year. I almost died of dehydration though.

The guards were super cool and gave full bottles of water to people like me who had been standing up front since 3 PM or so, thankfully. I would have likely died if that wasn't the case.

I only get in the front when I can see like little hand rails or some shit to grab onto to maintain my position, because some stupid shit inevitably occurs every time I go to a show. I hang back most of the time, and sit if there's a table that has a good view.
